maxtri

A training plan that knows what you actually did.

maxtri builds your plan from your Garmin data, explains every session, and rebuilds next week every Sunday from what you really trained.

For triathletes and runners with a race on the calendar. Invite-only, free during the beta.

Threshold intervals

3 × 10 min at 4:12–4:18 /km · 2 min jog

Three reps, not four. Last week ran well over plan, so this week holds the intensity and trims the volume — the fitness is banked, the fatigue doesn't need adding to.

Moved from Tuesday — football

How a week gets built

Not a library of workouts and not a PDF. Every week is assembled in the same order, from your data, and checked before it reaches you.

Starts from your Garmin
Threshold pace, heart rate, swim history and the last few weeks of load. If you skip Garmin, you start on estimates for your level and correct them yourself.
Laid out backwards from race day
Base, build, peak and taper are computed from your race date, with a recovery week every fourth. Change the race and the whole shape moves with it.
Your week comes off first
Standing commitments and B-races are subtracted from the week’s load budget before a single session is designed. Nothing lands on football night.
Designed, then checked
A model proposes the sessions; fixed rules accept or reject them. Three rejections and you get a template week instead. The model never has the last word on what reaches your watch.
On your watch
Each session goes to your Garmin Connect calendar as a structured workout, with the reasoning kept beside it in the app.

Every Sunday, next week is rebuilt

On Sunday evening maxtri reads what you recorded, re-costs the coming week against it, and sends the new sessions to your watch. Run hot one week and the next one gives some back. Lose a fortnight to a cold and the plan picks up from where you really are.

How did Saturday's long ride compare with the plan?

list_activitieslist_scheduled_workouts

You rode 3 h 05 against a planned 3 h, and held the aerobic range for all but the last climb. That is close enough that Sunday's rebuild will leave next week's long ride where it is.

Questions

Do I need a Garmin?

It is what the plan is built from, so it is strongly recommended. Without one you still get a plan, built on estimates for your level, which you can correct.

What does it cost?

Nothing during the invite-only beta.

Which sports?

Triathlon — swim, bike and run — and running.

What happens when I miss a week?

Sunday’s rebuild sees it and re-costs what comes next. A Garmin outage is treated as unknown, never as a week of missed sessions.

Is my Garmin password stored?

No. It is used once to sign in to Garmin. maxtri keeps only the access tokens Garmin issues, encrypted.

Why invite-only?

We are letting athletes in a few at a time. Leave your email and we will send an invite when there is room.
